Will Baker is the kind of character that you really want to dislike for a variety of reasons but ends up being that person you still can’t help but want to be friends with. For anyone who has a fascination with Oxford this author paints a great picture of some intimate details of the campus, and takes you on a journey of discovery with our main character that had just arrived from New York.
While the book was well written and the story was enjoyable, I didn’t love it. I liked it, and it was a good read, but I found only some parts of the story left me unable to put the book down, while the rest was just — well — a story. I am not typically a fan of a man like Will Baker, but the author did a great job of showing the conflicting emotions he was feeling which really helped me grow to like him. I enjoyed the variety of personalities throughout the story and found it to be a nice tale of self discovery.
